1. When do sales start and how do I buy tickets?
Match ticket sales for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany begin on 1 February 2005. Applications in the first sales period will be accepted until 31 March 2005. It makes no difference whatsoever whether applicants register on the first day or a few days later, as the time of applying has no bearing on the allocation of tickets afterwards.
Tickets will be allocated from 15 April 2005 by electronic ballot according to TÜV certified procedures in the presence of a notary public. Applicants allocated tickets will receive written confirmation indicating the number and category of tickets. Specific seat details will be assigned at a later date.
Interested parties can register on the internet at www.FIFAworldcup.com and apply for tickets. Postal applications can only be made on the official 2006 FIFA World Cup application form.
This will be available for download from February 1 at www.FIFAworldcup.com. Alternatively you can request the form from
2006 FIFA World Cup Ticketing Center (FWTCT)

Completed forms should also be sent to this address. Fax applications must be made on the official application form. This is available by fax recall on +49 (0) 900 1 585858 (49 cent/minute from German T-Com fixed lines).
Persons applying for 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany tickets must be at least 18 years of age. Such persons may also apply for tickets for persons under 18.
2. How much do the tickets cost and how many sales periods are there?
Single tickets are on offer in four price categories. The cheapest tickets for group stage matches cost 35. The most expensive seats at the group stage cost 100. The cheapest ticket for the Final costs 120 and the most expensive 600.
To ensure a fair and open process even if demand exceeds supply, and to guarantee as many interested parties as possible receive tickets, ticket sales will take place in five periods. Applications cannot be accepted in between sales periods.
The first sales period begins on 1 February 2005 and ends on 31 March 2005. At the end of this application phase, should the number of applications exceed the number of available tickets for this phase, the tickets will be allocated via ballot on 15 April 2005. There is no difference between an application made on 1 February 2005 and an application made on 31 March. Every correctly completed application enters the ballot with an equal chance of success.
Further sales periods:
1. May 2005 to 15 November 2005
1. December 2005 to 15 January 2006
1. February 2006 to 15 April 2006
1. May 2006 to 9 July 2006.
3. What are the categories?
\The 64 matches at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany will be all-seated. Tickets are available as individual tickets or Team Specific Tickets (TST). Single tickets are valid for one specific match, TST series are valid for a chosen number of matches featuring a specific team.
Individual tickets are on offer in four price categories and TST series in three. Applicants for individual tickets may not apply for TST tickets, and applicants for TST tickets may not apply for individual tickets.
TST tickets are available in a so-called series, i.e. they are valid for a series of matches played by a specific team. A TST series allows the purchaser to attend at least his chosen team's group matches, or depending on the TST variant, further matches up to and including the Final.
4. What is the maximum number of tickets per person household? Are tickets transferable?
Individual tickets are on offer in four price categories. Per household, you may apply for a maximum of four individual tickets for up to seven matches in categories 1-3. In category 4, the cheapest category, the maximum is two individual tickets for up to three matches per household. In the TST category, you may apply for up to four TST series per household. A "household" is defined as one surname at one delivery address.
Each applicant household may only apply for one price category per match. This price category also applies to all joint applicants named on the application form. You may not apply for tickets to more than one game scheduled for the same day. Only one application per household is permitted per order period. A "joint applicant" is defined as a person listed by the applicant by name on the application form.
No-one is permitted to re-sell or re-allocate any ticket allocated to him/her. The right purchased with the ticket to attend a particular match is invested in the person of the applicant or joint applicant and is non-variable and non-transferable. Any attempt to re-sell tickets will be deemed ticket touting / black market trading and will result in cancellation of the ticket. Tickets won in prize competitions operated by companies which are not 2006 FIFA World Cup Official Partners or Official Suppliers are exempt from this regulation.
5. How do I pay for match tickets?
MasterCard is the official method of payment of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In the first four sales periods, only MasterCard card products will be accepted. Tthe following methods of payment will also be accepted: MasterCard credit card, direct debit (for customers not possessing a MasterCard but with a German bank account), and bank transfer (for customers outside Germany not possessing a MasterCard and with no German bank account).

7. How do I follow the progress of my application?
Once you have completed the internet application, or your postal or fax application has been processed, you may review the status of your application at any time by logging in with a user name and password to the FWCTC website, accessible via at www.FIFAworldcup.com. All forms of application including postal and fax applications must include a valid e-mail address. The user name and password will be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address supplied.
All successful applicants, regardless of the form of application (online, by post or by fax), will receive a confirmation document. This document confirms that the applicant will receive the tickets as specified (or alternatives if the selected option is no longer available). The document includes payment information and notes on how to change the delivery address and payment details.
8. What information must I provide when buying tickets?
The following information must be provided on the application form by the applicant and any joint applicants: Last name, first name, street, postcode, town/city, country, nationality, sex, date of birth, passport number, e-mail address (optional on postal and fax applications), telephone number (optional), further address details (optional).
Applicants must also specify the number and type of tickets required. The applicant must enter details of the method of payment. The applicant name and name of the credit card/account holder must be identical.
9. Why will match tickets be personalised?

It will also serve as an effective deterrent to black market trading. However, the embedded chip will store access information only. Personal information such as names will not be stored.
