Arsenal 2005/06 Farewell To Highbury Season Review

The 2005/2006 season was the last to be played at Arsenal's Highbury home
of 93 years and the landmark season witnessed Arsene Wenger's new breed
of stars capture the imagination of Gunners fans with their exhilarating and fast
flowing football.

Highbury witnessed a grandstand finish to the Premier League season as results
on the final day of the season ensured Arsenal would once again have the chance
to take on Europe's finest in the Champions League. It was a fitting send off to
the Club's famous home and ensured that the Club would commence the new
era at Emirates Stadium with much to look forward to and much to reflect upon.

Arsenal took Europe by storm, reaching the final of the UEFA Champions
League for the first time in the Club's history, where they narrowly lost out to
the Spanish champions Barcelona following a spirited performance with ten men.
Relive all the drama from the historic Champions League run including highlights
from the victories against Real Madrid and Juventus.

Any disappointment following the defeat to Barcelona was dispelled just two
days later when Thierry Henry committed himself to the Club with a new four
year contract. During season 2005/2006 Thierry broke numerous records,
including Ian Wright's all-time scoring record for the Gunners and once again
he won the Premiership Golden Boot and the FWA Player of the Year.
Watch all Thierry's highlights, including his farewell to Highbury hat-trick
against Wigan.

DVD bonus Features-

- Tribute to Dennis Bergkamp
- Extended highlights of Highbury's closing ceremony
- Selection of the goals of the month
